Default Good brand of magnesium without fillers?

What's a good brand of magnesium (and a good form as well) that doesn't have a bunch of artificial fillers and extra ingredients (stearates, etc.)?

first read what Ray Sahelian, M.D. Information on stearic acid safety and if you still want to find a magnesium stearate free product try
Thorne Research, Magnesium Aspartate, 90 Veggie Caps
SRP: $10.20 Our price: $9.18 (5.72) from Iherb. Code WAB666 saves new IHERB users $5. I use IHERB because they are fast cheap and offer cheapest shipping to UK. You may find the same product cheaper from other sources depending on shipping cost to you.
They also do
Thorne Research, Magnesium Citrate, 90 Veggie Caps
SRP: $11.00 Our price: $9.90 (6.17)

Looks as if the aspartate would be better absorbed but I've only checked this source, not sure how reliable it is

Should perhaps have mentioned magnesium oil and transdermal magnesium uptake, magnesium chloride or magnesium sulphate baths. You can buy 25kg bulk bags of both at sensible prices for using in bath. Swansons do magnesium oil at a reasonable price if you are lucky enough to live in USA.

the other idea would be to use Ionic Magnesium If you drop that into the IHERB searchbar they have a good range at decent prices.
I've not used it myself but I've a poster on another forum who swears by it. She's pretty sensible and not prone to talk nonsense and she found it better (more immediate noticeable significant improvements) than any other form so obviously suits her. But we all vary.

I use magensium bicarbonate water. and that is well absorbed and has no fillers.

Ted, thanks for leading me to yet another brand that doesn't have harsh or conflicted extra ingredients. Are there any more brands you know of that stand by this practice in all their products? I would like to hear all brands you know of that don't have stearates, etc. in the extra ingredients. Thanks.

Now brand magnesium citrate in the powdered form is sold by Swanson vitamins and has no excipients or fillers. The powdered version of other brands including Swanson are most likely the same, no other ingredients. Swanson is a reputable company to do business with.

Thanks for this additional information. For UK readers IHERB supply the same product at a higher price but you may find IHERB's cheaper shipping to UK swings the decision.

@ CSwifty I've not searched extensively for stearate free supplements myself so it's a question of googling and it's a sunny day and I'm sure you can do this as well yourself.
It would be very useful if, instead of keeping the results to yourself, you added your findings to this thread or created another where STEARATE free sources were listed. It makes life a lot simpler if people share their findings so everyone benefits from the time they've spend studying the current market.
