Are you there? I just burned myself really badly. The skin is peeling off and the pain is intense. I'm spraying colloidal silver on it and will be putting aloe vera on soon. You might need to see a doctor asap. You can soak the area in cold water. Keep it under the cold water for hours if you can. It will cool the area and help with the pain. Where did you get burned and how?

We've treated arm burns by filling a basin with cold water, and leaving the arm immersed for as long as possible...it's a first response treatment at home. I works really well in releasing the heat, much better than any topical applications. Save those for later. Good luck.

Use honey mommysunshine. That should keep infection away and help to stop scars from happening. Coconut oil might work, but honey has better anecdotal reviews. The most important thing is to stop infections.

Phew, what an ordeal. I always boil my filtered water then pour it into a large container to use throughout the day. Usually the large container is halfway full when I pour water into it but not last night. With it being empty, the boiling water cracked the large container. The boiling water flowed onto the counter and floor and then, I dropped the entire pot, that had most of the boiling water still in it, onto the floor and the boiling water splashed onto my legs and feet. Whoa mamma.
Thanks everyone for your support.
It was instinctive to run to the shower and let the cold water sooth my burned skin. I sat there for nearly a half an hour enjoying the slight relief in pain.
I'm sooooo grateful for my colloidal silver machine, thanks to Pinballdoctor's advice. I sprayed silver all over the burns.
My hubby purchased 4 pounds of fresh aloe vera leafs from a local Persian market. My feet are covered in aloe vera leafs and colloidal silver.
Took 5,000 mg. of vit. C and 2 ibuprofin (the pain was so bad I had my husband buy them last night) and am drinking lots of water. Also going to eat lots of protein and minerals for tissue repair. In addition I'm taking zinc. I don't know if this is enough or if I'm missing something.
Is there anything else that could be an antiinflammatory or that can help the body repair injured tissue?
Honey is hygroscopic, meaning that it attracts and absorbs moisture. It thus retains the plasma that is inevitably released by the wound and keeps it in close contact with the damaged tissue, allowing for re-absorption. The plasma is enriched with dissolved nutrients, minerals and trace elements, including propolis (which appears to have a disinfectant quality), from the honey when it is re-assimilated into the damaged flesh.
There has been a renaissance in recent times in the use of honey, an ancient and traditional wound dressing, for the treatment of wounds, burns, and skin ulcers. In the past decade there have been many reports of case studies, experiments using animal models, and randomized controlled clinical trials that provide a large body of very convincing evidence for its effectiveness, and biomedical research that explains how honey produces such good results. As a dressing on wounds, honey provides a moist healing environment, rapidly clears infection, deodorizes, and reduces inflammation, edema, and exudation. Also, it increases the rate of healing by stimulation of angiogenesis, granulation, and epithelialization, making skin grafting unnecessary and giving excellent cosmetic results. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11702616
Sorry for not replying earlier but was away from my computer.
You did the right thing by spraying the silver solution on the burn, however, as mentioned in a PM, the silver solution produced by your generator is approx 25% colloidal and 75% ionic, just for the record.
Either form of silver will help healing of the skin without scars, and there is plenty of evidence to support that. Besides speeding up the healing process, the silver solution also prevents infection.
I agree with PBD and JFH, spray the silver, let it dry and then cover it with honey. Also, make sure you take at least 200 IU vit E orally daily while it heals and also, when you remove the honey and rinse it off, apply a layer of vitamin E on it (minimizes scarring)
That article on honey was very convincing. I'll do what you guys suggest. Putting the aloe leaves with fresh gel was a challenge because of being so darn slippery.
Tonight I'll take off the initial bandages and do as you guys suggest. Honey and colloidal silver it is. I nearly cried thinking this burn will take nearly a month to heal but it is what it is. Checking out used wheelchairs now. For now, my hubby pushes me on a stool to get to the computer.
Negative sides of magnets increase circulation and help burn wounds to heal so I've been placing a magnet on each foot.
The burn didn't reveal bone but definately layers of skin were burned through. I could smell dead/burnt skin when I lifted the aloe leaf to spray more silver on it. Our bodies are amazing!!!!!!
MSM is suppose to help relieve pain. Going to try that. Maybe I'll try Kava kava. The pain is a 6 out of 10 right now with no meds.
Hi, just a quick update. I slathered both my feet with honey and wrapped it up with saran wrap. So far so good. One foot has blisters on top and bottom (one blister covers 1/4 of the top of my foot), the other foot had less surface area burned but is much deeper.
We purchased a wheelchair last night but it is too painful to be in that position for very long.
I'm having to adjust to having no control over my domain - the kitchen. I think my hubby may need more prayers than me. lol
I may be wrong, but I don't think covering it with saran wrap is a good idea at all. The skin has to breathe, and wrapping it in plastic is never a good idea, regardless of the situation, IMO.
