I am thinking of doing a colonic or colon irrigation and was wondering if any one has any input good or bad in regards to them. I have read contradicting info on them ( just like everything else I've tried thus far) and figured I was ask the very knowledgeable Nat Med Talk community.
I have much discomfort and heavey feeling in my guts, I have had this for sometime and I think it may be the root of some of my current health problems.

The only colon cleanse product I've ever tried was Dr. Natura Colonix. It was years ago, but I did use it two separate times. It came with the parasite cleanse and senna tea, etc.
I wasn't really impressed with the results the way I thought I would be. No worms or parasites noticed, and no particularly great feelings afterward.
I think it's overpriced, and the same results could be achieved using psyllium husk, along with Cascara Sagrada, or Senna if needed. Of course there are herbal tinctures to take if one feels that they have a parasite problem. That along with some additional magnesium and lots of water to me, would be just as good.
I actually to add flaxseed oil when I did the second one, because it was constipating me.

I was a colonic irrigation tech for about 1.5 years, trained by Dr Rudolph Alsleban team, a pioneer MD doctor in alternative medicine, when I lived in San Deigo about 35 years ago.
I highly recommend them but do seek out a program that delivers either oxygen or ozone mixed into the water. My preference would be ozone but oxygen provides lots of healing benefits also. Many therapists have this type of machine these days. Last colonic I had I took my own ozone machine with me and we bubbled it in to the reserve tank.
I have had great opportunity to observe the healing benefits through both iridology as well as xray results on comprehensive therapy... that was 3 treatments a week up to several months for some folks who were in really rough shape.
While you do this be sure to take a replacement probioitc flora but be aware most of the flora resides in the small intestines not the colon. Also its a great time to do a wheat grass implant right afterwards.. Jama Juice makes wheatgrass. Take some with you to the clinic where you have it done and intill with a 14 or 12 fr catheter up as high as you can get the cath to go... one to two ounces will do it.
all that being said, wheat grass implants do much for the colon all by themselves.
