\r\n \r\n I once knew a guy, who hadn\'t filed income tax for many years. That was in the 80s. He quoted many things that said that taxation is voluntary. I don\'t know how long he got away with it. The IRS has their own judge, jury, court, laws, etc. You are guilty until proven innocent. All I know is that only Congress can appropriate funds and impose tax.

\nThe Ron Paul movement started the Tea Party, however they\'ve clearly moved away from him. Many of his ideas are too outside the box for them. He does want to get rid of the Federal Reserve and get rid of paper currency in favor of gold. I like some of his ideas. I don\'t know much about Rand Paul. But the conservatives do not want these socialized institutes. The government health care for the vets, federal employees, and congress critters are very socialist too. Mix and match and cherry pick for the best people. Independent.\r\n

\r\n \r\n A smaller government would be good and there are many places where it can be scaled back but programs like SS are not going to go away. While it might be argued that don�t need them unfortunately it has grown into something way different then what it started out as. Initially SS was nothing more then a new tax on the people but one masquerading as a social service. Considering at it beginning the average person was expect to die before reaching 65 thus all monies he contributed became the governments to do with whatever they wanted.
\n But over the years politicians conditioned people to be dependent on SS promising it would always be there for them. And it could have been if the politicians didn�t barrow/steal the SS funds for other projects. So what do we do with all the people that put their trust into this system? We can�t just throw them out into street and say sorry tough luck but your politicians have spent all your money. The only thing we can do is throw out all the current politicians and hope that the new batch will understand the root causes to our money problems and that they will have the courage to try and fix them.\r\n
