D Earth After 2nd day
I may have to cut back to taking my D-Earth every other day as it seems too binding for me. Or I may try just 1 teaspoon today, I will say, it sure does make me feel fuller/less hungry; I had to force myself to eat a bit of lunch and wasn't hungry for dinner either. And, I had to use less Insulin in my shots yesterday. I'll keep experimenting with it.

It doesn't expand and it is inorganic. Have you tried any of the clay products? Do they do the same to you?
I suspect that you should approach this slowly. This could be an initial detox Herxheimer reaction that you are experiencing. The earth is absorbing the toxins and moving them out of your body. Or parasites are dieing off and producing more toxins than you can handle. If you just want the silica and not the earth, try my method of adding it to a pitcher of water and drinking from that each day. Since a pitcher is small, adding water will stir up the contents more than you want. Using a gallon jug would be better for you. Just add a tablespoon and let it settle. The water may still be murky; but that is alright. Now you will get a little silica everyday for cheap. It will be more bioavailable in this procedure too. Good luck. It has only improved my BMs. No binding.

D Earth after 4th day
Thanks Jim. No, I've never tried any clay products for the same reason - fear of
more constipation. I've dropped back to 1 teaspoon of DEarth in 6oz of yogurt and will continue that for the rest of this week, then inch up to 2 teaspoons next week. Also, I think I will try your suggestion of several Tbsps in water and drinking that during the day. However my fridge can't handle a gallon jug, so I'll use a half gallon glass container. I'm trying the DEarth mainly for skin, hair and nail improvements so I think the extra Silica would be good for these, don't you? I made a batch of Bran Muffins yesterday, using Raisin Bran cereal, whole wheat flour, adding a cup of dried dates, unsulfured molasses, applesauce. I didn't want to use any white flour at all. Unfortunately I ate too many and shot my blood sugar up too high. LOL! Thanks for your info and suggestions.

Rice bran has a lot of silica too.
You don't have to keep the water or jug in the fridge. I like cold water too; but it is unnecessary. This is a good way to get silica. When you take spoonfuls, once a day, it passes right through you and you don't get much silica. It is not really bioavailable. When you let it sit in water for a while and drink glasses through the day, you should get more silica. I'm thinking a few grams. My water looks murky all the time; but I know it is not contaminated. That happens to me too Earlybird. Constipation. For 60 years. Every time I try something new. It is like I am in constant detox. For the first 3 days, I needed help. I knew what was going on and drank prune juice. That always helps for at least 3 days. Then my immune system becomes immune to it apparently; and I go right back into constipation. This even happens when I take new probiotics. Constipation and bloating. Someday I should sterilize my body and start over.

D-Earth.
Yeah, me too, Jim. I remember my mother giving me Castoria as a small child; then
Castor Oil [GAG] in orange juice to try to hide it - ruined my taste for OJ for many years. Then there was the every-now-and-then enema. So, a life-long problem - I'm now 73. I want to check out the D-Earth for dog fleas. I told my friend about D-Earth last night and want to give her a baggie of it for her 3 dogs. I know they're not supposed to inhale the dust, but I forget whether it's to be added to their water or rubbed into their fur. They eat dry dog food so that won't do because of the dust.

Sprinkle on/in their fur. It dehydrates the fleas and ticks. Then feed it to them in their food for worms.
https://wolfcreekranch1.tripod.com/no_flea.html It is not harmful to breathe in the dust; unless it is for a long duration. Food grade diatomaceous earth is OMRI (Organic Material Review Institute) listed, does not poison our pets, and simply dehydrates fleas and ticks that come in contact with it within 72 hours. Food grade diatomaceous earth can be sprinkled in your home carpeting, on dogs, cats, and other animals, applied in their bedding, and in all dry outdoor areas that fleas congregate. If your pet currently has fleas, it is essential to feed food grade diatomaceous earth daily at double the recommended daily dose to address the tapeworms your pet will have from ingesting fleas.
