Hi stingrayzp, welcome to the forum. I would suggest taking an Omega 3 supplement on its own. Also Lecithin is known as 'cholesterol's worst enemy', which would be helpful in addition to Garlic, Magnesium and vitamin D3. Vitamin K2 will help keep the calcium out of your arteries.

Apples and apple pectin are valuable in lowering cholesterol also. Saved1986 recommended a product called "ProFibe" that you may want to look into.

LOL, I was going to say profibe, fish oil and magnesium until you posted it.

Singrayzp: I was talking to a pharmacist yesterday and he said he sees the most problems with lipitor of all the different statins. He also said when people are on high dose statins, they will sooner or later develop some type of side effect and he thinks statins are nasty. Also, high cholesterol does not mean anything, it is the inflamation that is the problem. Fish oil and staying away from trans fats and a couple glasses of red wine should solve that issue!

All the best, and if you want to know about herbs, why not ask a herbalist or go on a herb forum?

Add niacin to your supplements. It will not only lower your cholesterol, it will regulate it.

Google niacin and cholesterol.
