I am not to sure about that Harry.What would you do if you did grow it.How are you going to find out what drug it responds to?

Well, I'd do it like this. walk into the family clinic practice walk up to the front desk and be like"Yeah I have had prostatitis for 15 months can't get any treatment and also had a bunch of urologists tell me it was all in my head and nothing is wrong with me, so the medical community as a whole has decided I should just lay at home and suffer, well I got tired of everybody setting on their lazy asses and doing nothing, so I cultured the bacteria myself and here is the petri dish it's in. so find out what this is and what kills it please "

From their they would either A. see its some kind of an ecoli and have me do another semen culture to make sure I did not fake it, by using an ecoli strain from something else to pretend it came from me..
(after all the number one principal in modern medicine is the patient is always wrong !! and the doctor is always right) Or B go and throw the dish in the trash and the doctor lie and tell me oh that petri dish you cultured that was garden mold.

And this is what gets me. If you have for example say doctor does a prostate massage and he finds prostate fluid full of white blood cells. Or you could have a man or woman burns when urinating . webmd says Some organisms take longer to grow in the culture; for this reason, results may not be available for several days.
do you know how long they grow the prostate fluid for ? 24-48 hours then they throw the sample away.
And do you know it can take from 3 - 7 days to grow a micro organism ? Yes it is true.... some thing very fishy is going on in the medical community

I just left my doc told'em that I want trans rectal ultra sound he said he would set it up told him I want broth seman culture and he said he would check on it see what would be the best method I will know more by this coming wed

You could try it but would they take you seriously.I cant believe you live in the usa and you are finding hard to get some proper treatment.Its so terrible.

yeah. I am in Arkansas. that may be the reason. I figure they would have more options in the cities like Georgia , New York and places like that. The
UAMS in little rock which is supposed to be an academic university . Was just a tiny office at the hospital in little rock. here is what happens for most of these urology visits . I come in urinate in the cup and the feel my prostate and say sir if the urine is clean and the prostate is not swollen you don't have prostatitis. Then I say I have low back pain ( they tell me that means nothing) testicle pain, erection troubles, loss of feeling in ejaculation, anal pain, burning ejaculation. they usually tell me that ejaculation troubles, erection difficulties , anal pain has nothing to do with prostatitis and is not signs of a prostate infection or they tell me that I am just imagining things. The guy at UAMS was actually giggling laughing at me when I told him my symptoms and told me straight up I have a wild imagination...anyways

oh by the way a tip for everybody. when you go to these doctors clinics ask for a receipt and keep up with it. I learned this the hard way I was told i had to pay 125 $ up front. So I paid them in cash for the office visit at UAMS, Just got a bill in the mail saying I only paid them $60 cash for the office visit. I called them and told them this, they told me sir do you have a receipt. I said no I apparently lost it. they said then you owe us $65 because you never paid us $125. I remember setting in that chair and counting out over $125 dollars and the lady even giving me change back which consisted of 3 or 4 dollars and some change. So so far I have been laughed at , miss diagnosed ,ridiculed , conned out of money, lied to about a drug a urologist prescribed me , and the first urologist caused my symptoms to go from mild back pain and testicle pain , to all of the sexual problems and the anal pain
when he put me on steroids. Truth of the matter is i would have been better off if i had just set at home and never went a to a urologist because I have spent over $2,000 and i am in more pain than I originally was.
sorry don't mean to complain but just being honest this is all that crap that has happened to me

No I don't.
Prostatitis should be called "yeast infection" because that's what it is, and you don't just wake up one morning and discover prostate problems. This takes several years to develop and fester, then is further fueled by antibiotics and steroids.

No disrespect intended, but no sugar-coating either.

I have a tip for everybody to... if you have prostate problems, go to www.knowthecause.com and learn all you can because the host knows a bit about fungus and the problems (and damage) mycotoxins can do, unlike the so-called expert urologists that I keep reading about in this post.

This is considered standard treatment by these "professionals".. these "specialists"... these "experts", but I got news for you, they are not experts.

They do not know what causes prostatitis, they cannot fix it, and they don't even know how to treat it, so they are not experts.

I think I can pretty safely say that I am cured now. So in the end for me it was a long course of doxycycline + supplement that I mentioned that cured me. Hope it gives some people optimism anyway because I had it for 6 years. If some of you are initially getting more pain with pycnogenol just keep taking it. It's probably to do with increased blood flow initially or something. Hope you all stick with the supplements for at least 6 months now and get some relief. I really wouldn't besurprised if it takes a year for alot of people to get 90% better. I still wake up wondering if it will return though,but so far so good!

I think you had a little luck as well as knowledge.Not many of us seem to get cured from this but it gives people hope..

Well I have been dealing with this for years. ...Pain in my nutts. pain in lower abs. Unable to fully empty my blader very hard to deal with I will be un happy if this is my life

I think you would benefit from a trans rectal if you have had it for years.They did find a few things when I had it done,they found some calcification and blockage.

And what can they do about this block......They did find red blood cells in my urine I have to go back today for UA..I had a psa before my coynt was below one it was like point eight or somthing like that and I think zero to four is ok!

What are everyones symptoms jis trying to see how I fit in mine symptoms are......weak erections..pain in lower abs between pevic bone and belly button. ...Pain in nutts..swelling in right nut. ...Leaking after I pee (right away or a min or two later)....low sex drive...peeing alot with not alot coming out. Somtimes just a dribble

I feel strange pressure when bending forward...no problem sitting. ...No problem sleeping...thank god no rectal pain....no pain upon ejactalation.....no pain with erection.....no paon in legs
