Yes, Sally B,
I've been working on this one for a while. Last year I felt like I did a terrible decline. My typing is bad but never so bad as last summer and I couldn't remember names of people I knew well when I was under stress as I often am at work. That's when I started to explore brain nutrients.
There are two books that actually were recommended to me from a past forum, not recently past though.
"Brain Longevity" by Dharma Singh Khalsa MD
and "Smart Drugs and Nutrients" by Ward Dean MD and John Morgenthaler
They are both good reads but I prefer the first. Khalsa brings a balanced approach. Memory loss and dementia is his main practice. Bought them used on Amazon.
After reading them I started on DMAE and did this for about 5 months and have now slacked off it for the last 3.
I take GH-3 (Gerovital)
I increased my B vitamins, especially B12
Liquid Lecithin from NOW products. I noticed the greatest change when I started this. I put it in my morning smoothies about 3 times a week.
Fish Oil Caps.
When my CoQ10 runs out I will start Idbenone, reported to be more effective.
I also did a course of serrapeptase to clean out my vessels.
My typing is really good now,( don't go by my posts here. I am not comfortable with my keyboard at home) My memory has improved also. I don't have problems under stress anymore.
I really like these books because it gives a heads up on some of the leading pharmaceuticals to treat severe memory loss and dementia that are not availabe in the US but still can be purchased over the internet.
