I read about that to but that type of thing is unfortunately all too common. The problem is when government and bureaucrats start regulating they don�t know when to stop.

We have had grade school kids harassed for operating lemonade stands without a permit.
A vaccine which is know to have long term heath side effects has been forced onto 5&6 year old girls to prevent sexually transmitted diseases.
A man was facing a possible live sentence for taking pictures of the police doing their job. I believe that one was just overturned.
This small ice-cream stop was shut down because it was using fresh fruits in their products not the pasteurized versions.
The manufacture of Gibson Guitars has been raided and told they are not allowed to use imported wood and that they would be better off if they moved out of the country.
An unemployed woman was told she was having too many garage sales. She was selling off her belongings to help pay for her cancer treatments.
Another woman was told she could not plant a garden in her front yard. Happily that one drew enough negative publicity and was over turned.

And the American public remains fucking stupid!

1) Way too much evidence out there that a small increase in fruit, veggies and fiber will lower cholesterol.

2) People keep borrowing to finance lavish life styles.

3) The 5.99 all you can eat buffetts.

These stories/situations are all so sad....and grossly unfair. I pray every summer that our local
farmer's market is able to stay open. They have enough problems just dealing w/weather conditions.
So far all has gone well. There is a family about a mile away on a side street who has their front yard
planted in a variety of both flowers & veggies...very attractively arranged. Even their neighbors approve.

We have 2 farmers markets. Thurs morning ones are questionable, people buy wholsale and truck it in. This yr there is some better stuff from local farms. Wed late afternoon one, fantastic, not a large selection, but half the stuff is organic.
