Does anyone have a Farmer's Almanac for this Winter?
I thought I'd heard that this winter wasn't supposed to be so bad? Cold perhaps but not so much snow?
Shittaki! Cincinnati area of Ohio & Ky are having ice & Snow, Snow, Snow like crazy & it's not even Dec 21 yet!
Xways closed down, accidents galore, 0* temps, Level 2 Emergencies - no one allowed to drive. etc!
I foresee a long siege of Cabin fever ahead.
What gives?

This was on an AOL news site, never followed the Farmer's Almanac closely, not sure how really accurate it is in weather predictions. Be careful and safe out there Earlybird, both walking and driving.

I'm in Colorado, and although they've gotten plenty of snow in the mountain areas, we have had only a few flurries where I live. Today it's mid-40's and sunny. The sun helps warm things up a lot. Getting ready to take one of the furkids for a walk in the park...I should count my blessings weatherwise!
Central TX is witnessing a drought once again. It is getting severe, because the humidity is very low and winds are high. Humidity stays below 20% except for a few days. Cedar pollen is about to show up in the next few days. Cedar fever is miserable for very many people in this area.

All I have to say is "missed". What happened? I normally see that Farmer's Almanac is mostly right.
Another week of snow! It snowed Tuesday, due to snow tonight-Thurs, & due again on Sat. So tiresome!
At least my arms & upper body get exercise from reaching to get the snow off my car windows.
Except for a few small patches, I haven't seen bare ground for weeks.
Making beef stew today so heading out at 9am to get fresh carrots & celery + some other things.
Sounded like a good comfort food.
I heard the weather was going to be severe this year but I dont know where that idea came from. Last year we had hardly any snow, just a few flurries, at this point and right now we have snow on the ground for the last 4 weeks and more on its way. Im in Idaho and what we get is what is heading for the northern midwest usually

The midwest is supposed to keep getting slammed, from what I hear.
It's been in the low 20s here. This week it's milder.....in the low 30s

Central TX will be in the mid-seventies (about 23C). But Christmas day will have us lower than 60 (15C). Roller coaster. I've heard there is no such thing as catching a cold or flu just because of such weather change, but I feel that my immune system takes time to catch up.
I feel sorry for Europe and the UK with all this blizzard mess. It is no fun when you have to work for a living. It's also difficult for Christmas shopping.
A 2 day warmup - 32* today & tomorrow. Unfortunately not enough Sun can get to the snow between the
cars to melt the ice/snow. More starting this afternoon & tomorrow.
Travelers are already being advised to leave on Wed or Thurs for Christmas Eve or Day celebrations due to
a hefty amount expected on Fri/Sat.
Wish I could send you some of our moisture, Jim. No. make that alot of our moisture!
Thanks Earlybird. We've been fortunate to have no fires. I wish I had a wind turbine too. My sinuses are murdering me with this low humidity. I have a slow cooker with the top off and with water simmering.
