I even went so far as to make lemonade with the mineral water and while yes it worked, its still expensive. Now I will admit, I am not drinking carbonated stuff every day. but probably one day out of the week I will get something. So a friend of mine was talking about it, and she pointed me to this little gadget on this thinkgeek site.... Would this work??? Would this really carbonate your drink??? And why would it not taste like the vinegar that is being used... This is a cheap little device which Im sure could be made at home, but by the time I did that trial and error part with lots of errors in trying, it would still be cheaper for me to just by this online.... But I want to know if it would really work... \n The fizz in a soft drink is from CO2 that has been forced under pressure into the drink. \n Mixing vinegar and baking soda is a simple way to make the carbon dioxide, just dont tell Al Gore your doing it cause he would want to pay his carbon tax. \n Anyway after pouring the vinegar into the bottle with the baking soda I would quickly stuff a cotton ball into the neck before putting on the cap as that would help prevent any liquid that might bubble up from getting into the tubing. Putting a loop in the tubing will also help trap any yucky liquid from getting into your drink. \n \n With that setup you are then ready to start experimenting carbonating different liquids, tea, tomato juice, chicken soup, etc.\r\n | \r\n
