Default Mercury detox time

I've been thinking of my hormones being out of whack and my nutrients being low like B12 and zinc. For quite a while I've suspected mercury toxicity from growing up in Michigan eating fish from lake michigan 5 times a week. My dad was a professional fisherman. I also had many metal fillings in my mouth. All of them were taken out 8 months ago.

Before I go with getting hormone replacement and before my nutrient deficiencies are resolved with supplementation I think it's time to seriously to a mercury detox first. That may be the underlying issue to many of my health problems.

I have chlorella powder and cilantro tinxture but I'm kinda chicken to take them.

Anyone done a metal cleanse with a naturopath or with a program that you liked?

Cilantro is excellent for mercury detox. I'm not sure of the tincture though. Cilantro is about the only thing I've found that can breach the brain barrier to bind with the mercury. Binding means that the mercury is held tightly until evacuation from the body. It will not be free. I can't stand the taste of cilantro though. Funny, isn't it? I lived in Northern California for about 35 years and now Texas for 4 years. Cilantro is everywhere as are Hispanics. Mexican parsley.

I have taken EDTA before. It is widely used in several industries. For example, in municipal water supplies to break up lime, in some foods as a preservative.

DMPS is suppose to be good too. Did you get the EDTA from a doctor? I just found it on iherb.

You can get EDTA on iherb.com

Cilantro: The first time I had that (2001) I thought it tasted like soap, now I love the stuff. mommysunshine, just make some salsa with a lot of cilantro and chow down.

Oh I have. I love salsa and have eaten the herb fresh with many salads. I have a persian friend who shared how she and her family eat fresh herbs at every meal (often cilantro). They just place the herbs on a plate in the middle of the table and take nibbles throughout their dinner.

There's a great heavy metal recipe in this forum that I made several months ago. It was sooooo yummy BUT the missing link was going the extra step to make sure the mercury is chelated and excreted out not just mobilized for redistribution.

It's time for the mercury to be GONE!!!!!

I understand that Alpha Lipoic Acid chelates mercury, and taking it with Chlorella helps to remove it from the body. I've taken Chlorella and find nothing unusual about it. Here's a past thread on the subject..

Alpha Lipoic Acid (natural anti-inflammatory)

Lugol's iodine also chelates mercury.

I was just going to say that Arrow. Iodine very well chelates mercury and fluoride. So take 12.5mg of 7% Logol's daily. Think Japanese.

I cannot imagine eating cilantro raw. If I have it, it must be mixed with something else. It must be an acquired taste.

I love the Persian dishes. I especially like a rice (polo) dish that has a crunchy bottom, from potatoes I think. I have a book of such recipes. I should get it out and try some things.

I think you can take the cilantro tincture topically.. if I remember right. Was that not part of Hans Napier's program. They put it on the wrists.. Still need to do the chlorella too.

kind2creatures, I have experienced fatigue after taking alpha lipioc acid and perhaps it might be from it mobilizing the mercury but there wasn't anything to chelate it.

jfh, raw cilantro is an acquired taste. Saved1986 thought it tasted soapy. lol It hasn't ever bothered me.

I found a protocol online that says to start slowly but to build up to this:

30 min. before eating take 1 T. of chlorella with 1 tsp. cod liver oil.
Before eating take 10 drops of cilantro tincture in a little water.

The idea is to have the chlorella in the gut ready to capture what the gallbladder releases if the mercury is in the liver/blood. As I think mine is in the brain (lol - but it's really not a laughing matter) perhaps it might be more appropriate to do as Arrowwind09 mentioned with the tincture on the wrists so it can mobilize mercury from the upper part of the body. Apparently the cilantro tincture can be placed on the ankles to mobilize mercury in the bones, joints and structures below the diaphram. If you place the tincture on the wrists it'll focus on the bones, joints, and structures above the diaphram.

Do this 3x a day for one week then off for two or three weeks then repeat.

Today I started with 1 tsp. chlorella with 1/4 tsp. cod liver oil and 3 drops of cilantro. I did it twice.

I think I'm going to need to add cellulase digestive enzymes because I'm experiencing unusual gas.

EDTA can be used instead of chlorella, yes? If so, that may be better in my situation because the chlorella is already showing to be difficult for my system to break down.
