Republicans descend into civil war as Tea Party movement vows to drive party further to the right ... The Republican Party was last night descending into a civil war over control of its political future, as recriminations raged about its failure to oust Barack Obama and take control of the US Senate. Some conservatives warned colleagues that they risked annihilation by refusing to change and appeal to the women, younger and ethnically-diverse voters who had stood by Barack Obama since 2008. Yet many supporters of the Tea Party movement whose agenda was rebuked across the US claimed Mitt Romney had actually not been conservative enough, vowing to drive the party further to the Right. UK Telegraph
Dominant Social Theme: Republicans are out of touch. Democrats are not. The Tea Party is dead.
Free-Market Analysis: Post-election, the US Republican Party will go about the business of tearing itself to pieces, as well it should. As observers of directed history here at the Daily Bell, watching the past ten years of politics presented via the prism of what we call the Internet Reformation has been instructive indeed.
They will think of anything to place blame away from themselves. Even a hurricane. Even though they have been campaigning for 4 years.
People don't remember history very well. They can't seem to remember anything older than 3 years. In the commodity futures market, they can't remember anything 3 weeks ago. Did they forget that business men just don't make it in presidential politics. The president is the only nationally elected position, but they should know something about Washington. Jimmy Carter was a businessman, a peanut farmer. I thought another great businessman could get us out of an economic mess, Ross Perot. Thank goodness for Clinton getting us out of that mess. Even Ronald Reagan did not really know his way around Washington. It took Federal Reserve Chairman, Paul Volker, to fix that bad economy and bring us out of nasty inflation.
I don't really think any president can get us out of a bad economy without the support of Congress. That is not going to happen any time soon. The president can only really cut spending. But that is only half of it. The previous Sec of Defense, Robert Gates, tried to cut spending in defense. He was thwarted in that effort, because several congress critters said that it would hurt the economy in their States to stop making products that the Pentagon did not need anymore. So we are still stockpiling parts that go nowhere and never will.
Excuses, excuses, excuses. No reasons. The Republican party only plays to the white people with a few token minorities. Remember the last 2 national conventions? I only remember one Asian and only a very few black people and no Hispanics. Oh yes, there was that black camerawoman who had peanuts thrown at her. They have alienated most of America.

Its all scripted so why the drama! The puppet Obama won, no surprise really as a lot has been invested in him. The unseen suits decide what happens, not the well paid puppets who give the illusion that their is a choice - their isn't! Its all scripted.
Why the drama!
3 main poisons - education(indoctrination), politics and religion. Many other add ons too, so many distractions.
Weapon Of Mass Distraction - TV. Get rid of it! Their are plenty of other sources, and some are reliable!

So very true Revzen it is all just an illusion to make the masses fell like they are in control.
If I was an evil corrupt banker who wanted to get control of the government/world, but I didnt want the people to realize that I had taken control, how could I go about doing that? I would need a long range multi-faceted plan.
First I have to gain control of the money supply, and get rid of all gold and precious metals that have real intrinsic value and substitute some sort of fancy printed paper money that I can control the value of and create as much of it as I need. With such a system in place I would then loan out my worthless paper money but I would require collateral in the form of assets that have real intrinsic value. Then through control of the interest rates for my loans I can crate boom and bust cycles in the economy. Naturally I will call just these normal business cycles over which I very little influence and it is unfortunate that whenever one of my loans is foreclosed I am now forced to take control of all the real intrinsic property that was put up as collateral.
So what shall I call this new system, it needs an official conservative non-threatening sounding name? Ah I know I will call it the Federal Reserve System.
But I can see a problem with this, in that the people are inherently smart and will in time see through my banking scam. I cant have that, so I am going to have to dumb down the public and to do that I will take control of the school system. To do this I will set up a department of education of course I will have the people pay for it and will sell it to them by saying it will insure that everyone will get the same quantity of education regardless of their wealth or income. This will make them very happy. Then once in place I can gradually start reducing the requirements to a point where many of my graduates will be lucky if they can tie their own shoelaces.
But even that might not be enough to sufficiently dumb them down so as not to question what I'm really doing to them. I need to do more. So I will add chemicals to their water to further lower their IQ. I will promote the eating of food that will destroy their health and then provide pills to fix those problems which in turn will produce even more problems.
At this point through the main stream media outlets that I have bought and control I should be able to tell them that black is white and up is down and they should have lost any ability to question whatever I say.
Then to keep them passive and prevent any undue thinking on their part I will provide them with mindless sports and TV programs to watch. These will be the only things they will be encouraged to learn anything about and follow.
Of course they must be made to feel that they are still in control so I will let them choose their leaders, well at least from the two that I have personally pick out for them, either of which will obediently follow any orders I give. Then through my control of the media I will turn this process into a sporting like event with each side screaming and rooting for their team. It will be quite a spectacle and keep them distracted and arguing amongst themselves indefinitely and thus not have any time to even begin to question what I have been doing to them.
I will then let them vote for one of these leaders and with my control of the voting equipment and a few well placed individuals I will insure that it is a very close vote with just a few percentage points between winner and loser. That way if the losers complain too much they be told Well you almost won so next time you are just going to have to get out and work just a little harder.
But at this point they should be so brain dead that they will not be able to see how totally absurd this all is and I will have won!.
I have to say I was shocked by the sheer cost of the US election. Most of which appears to have been funded by corporate donation.
Lets face it, you don't give a man $10 million because you like the cut of his suit do you?
'He who pays the piper'...There is no place for that sort of thing in a democracy. I don't see how you can have honest government when there are so many favours to be called in and 'friends' to be kept sweet.
In my opinion, elections should be funded from a State provided central fund and corporate donations banned.
Last year I thought a monkey could have run against Obama and won.
Here is a guy who broke every promise he made, gave trillions to the big banks while millions lost their houses. He did nothing to lower credit card interest, made the middle class poorer while increasing the people on food stamps to over 40 million.
The unemployment rate is not 7.4% like he says either, its more like 20%, and that isn't counting the people on welfare or the millions locked up in prisons.
This is the same guy who now has the power to arrest anyone in the country for any reason, hold that person in any prison in the world, not allow that person a lawyer or access to the court system, or even kill that person without any possibility of being prosecuted.
This is also the guy who many think could be the third anti-Christ, you know, the guy who starts WW3.
Romney wouldn't have been much of a choice either, but you really have to wonder if Ron Paul could have done any worse..
I don't generally listen to anything Donald Trump says, however, he is right this time. The USA is split bigtime and the shit is just starting.
Look up in the sky...is it a bird? a plane? No... its a drone.
They have taken away your rights, now they will come for your guns..

Looking at the election from "across the pond" it might have been better if they had both lost.
It seems that the US is stitched up with a massive armed Homeland Security force with virtually unrestricted powers of detain and arrest. A bit like another Guantamo Bay only closer to home.
Some of the media think there will be political gridlock but there have been so many Presidential orders drafted virtually unopposed that any President now or in future just needs to declare an "emergency" to act without Congressional approval.
Add to this mixture a President who no longer needs to seek electoral approval
in future at the ballot box and you have a situation where there will be probably much more radical actions from Washington.

The USA needs more parties, like the UK. That would give more legitimate choices, and a strange imbalance in congress. I mean we have had the libertarian and green parties for years, but they haven't had the money to make big campaigns. And there must be money, or else... Just look at soccer. That sport hasn't taken off, because there are no breaks in the game, therefor no commercial advertising, therefor no money. Same with offshoot political parties.
We need a conservative party, and ultraconservative party, a labor party, a liberal party, libertarian party, and green. There! How's that?
The Koch brothers tried to buy the election by spending more than 500 million dollars in private money to try to get Romney elected. The deal was once Romney was elected, he would get rid of the EPA so the Koch companies could pollute as they please, after which Romney would be the Koch brothers' sock puppet. The Republicans have gotten too extreme and they are so far off to the right, they refuse to admit they made any mistakes at all, and because of that, they can't win. How many more presidencies must they lose before they consider admitting they made mistakes? They are in a bad position right now, having to please rich extremists within the party which totally displeases the national public. Either the Republicans must cleanse themselves of the Tea Party, or fade away and let another party (maybe the Green Party?????) become the "other party" to challenge the Democrats.

It would be pretty difficult to permit at below "Best available technology".
Most areas have a local air quality board, in Seattle it is PSAPCA.
The EPA is a bloated, out of control bureaucracy that is just as corrupt and out of control as the FDA. They are much more likley to override a local air board to pay back the person who appointed them than be concerned about the quality of the air and water where THEY ACTUALLY LIVE, being that they live in DC.
Heck, if fedgov was so concerned about good tap water, why is there flourine in it?
Our government wouldn't lie to us, would they? Surely not
Only conspiracy theorists think that there's an ulterior motive to fluoridating the water supplies, though I can't imagine what that would be [hint hint ]
Time to have a drink (or five..), watch the telly and go back to sleep
Before you know it I'll start saying these guys exist
Romeny surrounded himself with the same neocons that pushed us into the illegal war in Iraq. Iran is next. I would have happened faster with Romney... perhaps can still be diverted with Obama.
Romey, he is such a joke, and with all the problems Obama poses, those youtube videos of Romeny saying one thing and then directly contraticting himself on another clip were just fantastic... all his offshore accounts, his refusal to show his tax records, his sending of jobs overseas in the companies he controlled, his sinking of companies to make money off of them... a true capitolist American Eh?
I didnt vote for either of them The lessor of two evils is still evil.
