Default Foods/Supplements That Help Prevent Strokes?

What are some good foods/supplements that help prevent strokes/clotting?

I've been a little paranoid about this. I would assume omega 3 oils? Perhaps even from nuts? Fish? Cayenne pepper? Any other spices? Capsicum supplements? Red Wine? Alcohol in general? Freshly brewed beer from a nice local brewery?

Here's an older thread that mentions apples and pears being good for stroke prevention.

Omega 3s are good, also coconut/EVCO, lecithin, and I like to take vitamin k2, as it helps keep the calcium build-up out of the arteries. A close family member had a major stroke that left him partially paralized, and the doctor said his carotid artery was 99% blocked.

Don't forget nattokinase. That is this enzyme's most major benefit to act against strokes. /f52/22862-nattokinase.html

I would not recommend nattokinase for a young person with otherwise a healthy terrain. It should be held for people who are over 55 in general who are starting to decline. Before this time the issue should be addressed with regular food supplements like fish oil or K2 or vitamin E and food regimen in general.

Keep the bad carbs way way down, eat only whole grains in limited moderation. Do a yearly cleanse with MMS1 to kill pathogens that invade the blood cells and to eliminate other circulating debris.

Garlic extracts have been shown to reduce systoilc BP by an average of 8% and reduce the risk of a stroke by 40% and the risk of a heart attack by up to 50%, by lowering blood pressure, increasing the fluidity of blood and by helping to maintain the elasticity of important blood vessels
- Dr Sarah Brewer

Carrying a 300mg soluble aspirin is a good idea too, for men of a certain age! If you think you're having a heart attack, crunch it up and swallow it. It will have an immediate blood-thinning effect and will help to free up the arteries, buying you time to get to a hospital or call for an ambulance. (Tell them you've taken the aspirin)

What's really important is avoiding the two most artery damaging food items: transfats and high fructose corn syrup. I would start there. If you're past that dietary change then eclectic institute has a product called HBP Complete which is comprised of foods for heart and circulation. It contains: organic beet root, organic celery, wildcrafted Hawthorn leaf, organic garlic, organic parsley, organic dandelion, organic rosemary.

Before I went out last night, I had some of my garlic/feta/oliveoil/butter paste on some crackers. Brushed my teeth, went out and one guy 3-4 ft away from me said Tony, you just have some garlic? It does make you stink, but it does taste good

That is why their is very low heart disease in mexico and thailand. The peppers are a mainstay with every meal. (I do not understand how people hate hot food, if I am not sweating at the end of a thai ro indian meal, it was not hot enough)

Aspirin will thin the blood but it will not remove a clot. Most strokes are caused by clots. Nattokines will dissolve the clot quickly. Cayenne tincture or capsule will open peripheral circulation so the heart will not be damaged. I keep all in an emergency kit.

Do not give these if the person is on blood thinning agents like coumadin, (warfarin) or plavix as their stroke may be caused by a bleed not a clot, in which case you would make the condition worse.

Gingko Biloba makes platelets less sticky and thus less likely to clot and block blood flow to your brain.

Does serrapeptase claim to clean out arteries?

Yup.

I started giving my dad serrapeptase for emphysema. Supposedly it reverses it somewhat. I think it has helped a little. I took it because what ever I give him, I will take initially just to make sure and serrapeptase did help out my knee inflamation and planer fasciatis. (Use to be in pain every morning, now just occasiionally).
