Default Physician and Statin Drug-ridiculious!

Saw my Physician Yesterday, and got the "right act" for refusing to take a Statin Drug to lower my Cholesterol and Triglycerides. My Cholesterol/Trigs are a little above normal!!To scare me into taking the Drug,he told me I will develop Cardiovascular Disease and die a premature death.I explained my reasons for refusing, and discussed natural approaches I.E. Diet,Supplements and Exercise without the harmful side effects.Doctor's are ridiculious!

Good for you for refusing! They're trained to push/scare you into using those medications. If it were me, I'd be using things like Ginger, Lecithin, exercise, etc., etc. to resolve the problem. The doctor doesn't have to live your life in your skin, YOU do!

I refuse any Western Medicine (s) unless I absolutely must!A Pharmaceutical Rep waltzed in the Door whilst I was sitting in the waiting Room.No telling what killer Drug he was pitching!!What irritated me most is,he telling me I will develop a Disease and die unless I take it (as if he's God).I asked,"And how many times per Week do you work out?".He answered,"Not enough, but I don't have Cholesterol issues.".I'm like,"Yeah, you don't work out at all,and your not immune to develop Cholesterol issues!".He knows I'm one tough Nut to crack, and cannot stand it!

I lowered my dad's cholesterol in 6 weeks by 100 points back in 2002 by using something called profibe.

What irritates me it that everyone know global vitamin D levels are getting lower year on year.
We all know that vitamin D is made from Cholesterol in the skin.
We are all told to eat cholesterol lowering spreads and take statins.
And then they wonder why people don't make as much vitamin D now compared with years ago before statin use became almost universal.

Spacedoc has some good articles to makesure you are well prepared next time you visit your STATINATOR.

Mercola is also on the right track

Dr Davis Heartscanblog is also a good source of up to date information

I am not a paid advertisor but I highly recommend that anyone interested in cholesterol and statin drugs go to www.treelite.com and order the DVD called Cholesterol: Fact & Myth by Steven Horne AHG and Kimberly Balas ND.
In it you will find documentation showing that serum cholesterol below 160 puts one in danger of cardia arrest, cancer, and multiple other problems because the body needs cholesterol to operate.
Also, those statin drugs that are making $14 billion per year for those drug companies actually CAUSE heart failure.
It's well worth the price of the DVD as it is ultra-informative and, I believe, life saving for those who "have an ear to hear".

Fortunately you can get your own [url=https://www.grassrootshealth.net/daction]25(OH)D test by post without asking your doctor.
I've just got my results back and I'm 64ng/ml = 160nmol/l I'm 165lbs I take 5000iu/daily, use a UVB sunbed regularly and will, if we get a good summer, try to get plenty of UVB from sunshine. With a bit of luck I should be a bit higher by the end of Summer but providing I stay above 60ng/ml I'm happy.

I don't think it's absolutely essential to get tested. I think it gives you more confidence and you can be certain that what you are doing is having the desired effect but Providing you take in the region of 1000iu/daily for each 25lbs you weigh and get regular UVB exposure you can't go far wrong.
You skin has the capacity to regulate the amount of D3 it makes in relation to your 25(OH)D level so if you have a high status from supplements you won't make so much from sunshine. If you start the sunbathing season from a low vitamin D status then your skin will make huge amounts of D3. But Vitamin D3 acts as a photo protection agent so those people starting to sunbathe with no vitamin D stored will be more likely to burn than those people who have been taking supplements over the winter and start the sunbathing season with fully vitamin D charged skin and an inbuilt sun factor and they will tan faster thus increasing their natural sunscreen protection. Omega 3 is another natural sunscreen enhancer.

I guess my dad would have lasted longer than his 95 years if they knew about cholesterol drugs back then. His was always about 300, he didn't know the dangers at that time. He also had diabetes and just watched his diet.

Image how much longer he would have lived if he just knew to take statins. He was active, healthy had his hearing, didn't use glasses, and had almost a full head of hair. Cholesterol must be good for something.

Thank goodness we have come such a long way and now can offer medication for pre-diabetes, borderline cholesterol, and treat hypertension before it starts.

The best news is the guidlines for treating cholesterol has been expanded to include normal cholesterol in men over 50 and women over 60. To qualify all you need to do is smoke or have higher than normal blood pressure.

Modern medicine can treat almost anyone with insurance, credit cards, or cash.

I would say - imagine how much shorter he would have lived if he knew and used statin drugs.

Statin drugs depelete CoEnzyme Q10 that can lead to cancer, cardiac disease and general weakness and decline. They are a death sentence for a premature and undetermined date with death in the future.

Your dad was a wise man. He stayed away from those pharaceutical death drug pushers.

Default Say "No" to Statins

I agree wholly with Arrowwind09 on this one. Not only do the statin drugs deplete CoQ10 but they cause a host of other problems as well including lowered antioxident levels, liver disfunction, arrythmia, memory loss, depression, insomnia, erectile dysfunciton, and more heart problems. Not only so, but indirectly, because of the lowered cholesterol, danger of heart failure. In fact, many of the later studies show that there is more danger of heart failure with cholosterol lower than 175 than there is by cholesterol over 275.
I suggest an article by Dr. Sinatra at www.townsendletter.com/articles.htm called Clearing up the Cholesterol Confusion it says exactly who should take statin drugs (a very limited number) and who should not (almost all).

Thanks for calling my dad a wise man, and he was. I agree I should have said it the way you did. It was really tougue-in-cheek. It is frustrating to watch medical doctors be so off the mark, and yet be in charge of our healthcare.

The knowledge that all of the people share on these boards shows that there are people who get it.

Less than five percent of males live to age 95, and virtually zero make it to 110 years old. I do not think he could have done much better than that. I am pretty sure I will not get very close to that age.

I know that the age of 95 is a nice goal. There are other cultures that have people reach into theit 90's in good shape. I had many people reach into their 90's in the family.

Paul Nison the author of the Daylight Diet, did an interview with someone that was in good shape at a 108 years young. I think that we can and should be able to stay healthy into our senior years. It doesn't seem natural to see a population with so many health challenges.
