You are not overweight, which is a big factor when it comes to high blood pressure.

As far as your supplements go, first, I would never recommend any product with "Bayer" on it. This company is one of the worst in the world. Try to find a multi that is made from whole foods rather than this synthetic crap from Hitlers' henchmen. These would cost more, but you get what you pay for.

You will need some extra vitamin C, at a minimum of 2000mg per day in divided doses as well as extra D3, at a minimum of 2000iu per day, (since you are 149 pounds)

I like the resveratrol, the tripple strength omega 3, the co q10, and the curcumin. However, I would suggest a good "greens" product... consisting of several fruits and veggies as a concentrated powder. It should contain spirulina, chlorella, green tea, milk thistle, etc., as well as organic wheat grass, and BEETS, in the form of red beet powders, which are great for lowering blood pressure.

I would also suggest taking a good mineral complex, one that contains 60 minerals in colloidal form. Being deficient in any one of these minerals can cause severe health issues over time, and they also make the vitamins work better.

150/90 is not serious in my opinion, however, it is quite high for your age and body weight, thus the beet powder. Greens also contain magnesium and calcium, which also help regulate blood pressure.

On a final note, since you did not state, I would suggest filtered water (not tap water) because you either filter the water or you become the filter...

and welcome to the forum, there are some good health-minded people here.

I would personally try to go natural instead of taking some medication for the rest of your life. You can't ignore your blood pressure.

I've struggled with blood pressure around 140/90 at it's highest and now I'm down to about 115/65. My father has high blood pressure, which I think it's because we both stress to easy to be completely honest.

I tried to do everything possible that has been shown to lower your blood pressure naturally and I'd say hibiscus tea probably had the biggest impact.

Do you exercise? Do you use salt, soy sauce a lot? Pizza and bread is where most Americans get most of their sodium. I eat pizza once a week and my blood pressure sky rockets afterwords.

Don't drink too much everyday. I personally only drink one small glass of redwine every night with dinner, unless I'm traveling.

These are the other things I take everyday that have been shown to lower blood pressure.

green tea
raw cocoa powder
hibiscus tea
Olive Leaf extract pills
Banana

Do you recommend salt restriction for blood pressure?

I try to avoid salt or anything high in sodium. I do eat out, which does make it hard, but if I know something is high in sodium I'll try to avoid it. Do you have something to check your blood pressure at home? If not, you should probably get something as I check my blood pressure all the time. I liked to know what I'm putting in my body is actually working and what's actually hurting me.

I never add salt to anything myself or soy sauce. I do eat rice almost daily, but try to flavor with other things so that I never add salt or soy sauce.

This product looks to be pretty good, however, I would suggest the concentrated powder over the capsules so you can avoid the lubricating material that they use to fill the capsules without jamming the machines.

There are alot of good ingredients in this product, and even though some are only a few milligrams per serving, (such as the Co Q10) its still a good product, loaded with nutrients, vitamins, and antioxidants... so thumbs up for that ...sure beats the hell outta that bayer multi..

I would add beets or beet powder to that list, as well as lots (3 grams per day) of 1:1 magnesium/calcium (from citrate) as well as more potassium.

Hypertension is not genetic, it is nothing more than a deficiency of calcium... and since magnesium regulates calcium, and D3 is needed in order to absorb the calcium, it becomes a balancing act.

The bottom line is simple. You need optimal amounts of vitamins and minerals, not just minimal amounts as recommended as RDA.

...And the vitamins won't work without the mineral co-factors, thus you need all 60 minerals, including fluoride, arsenic, aluminum, gold, cadmium, and others that were thought to be toxic..

There are two kinds of salt, mineral rich sea salts and the crap they heat, bleach, and strip all the minerals from, and call it table salt.

Without sodium and chloride, you can't make enough stomach acid, and this can lead to all sorts of health issues..

I would disagree about it not being genetic, which you can find articles such as this one https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...0920075514.htm
But I'm guessing it's just your opinion that it's not genetic. You can find married couples who consume 100% the same and have drastically different blood pressure.

I took magnesium and calcium daily for a very long time seeing if it improved my sleeping and it had zero effect on my blood pressure. Maybe for people who are deficient it would help with their blood pressure and sleeping, but I'm telling zero effect for me. I take D3 daily and it had no impact on my blood pressure.

I'm really happy with my blood pressure as it's the recommend, but I can always learn new things and I'll give beets a try. I actually really like beets, so I appreciate you recommending them. I'll try to eat them more often.

There are so many reasons for hypertension that cardiologist just don't bother to diagnose any more. They are just drug dealers. If the drug works, why bother to diagnose? Put the bandage on to mask the symptoms.

Here are a few reasons for hypertension.

Smoking
Obesity or being overweight
Diabetes
Sedentary lifestyle
Lack of physical activity
High levels of salt intake (sodium sensitivity)
Insufficient calcium, potassium, and magnesium consumption
Vitamin D deficiency
High levels of alcohol consumption
Stress
Aging
Medicines such as birth control pills
Genetics and a family history of hypertension
Chronic kidney disease
Adrenal and thyroid problems or tumors

You might carefully consider Vitamin E, but be sure you take it properly as it actually can initially raise blood pressure slightly. Do read these articles and see what you think:

you are almost like me, but im a female, 31, 5'8 and 130 pounds, i've had normal blood pressure my whole life and out of nowhere, bam i was 150/95, i was shocked to hear that, but high blood pressure does run in my family. Since then I moniter my blood pressure at drugstores, work out a bit more and cut back on the eggs and salt. My husband works in natural health so I have all the supplements one could ever wish for. There is no problem taking natural vitamins and supplements its the drugs prescription you must watch out for. I take sources of sterols and omegas, as well as super food greens, and probiotics on a daily basis. my mom who has had high blood pressure and cholesterol for years started to cut back on her perscriptions and did the natural thing as well. she started taking argan softgels 2 times a day, they have high amounts of sterols and all 3 omegas, and prostagladins, she got checked 2 months later and her cholesterol went down a few points. good luck.

Some people who use MMS report a reduction in blood pressure. Since there are so many causes of elevated BP and mms cures so many things, I would think it would be worth a try. My neighbor who had damaged kidneys from vaccinations she received in the military has had extremely high BP for many years. MMS has permited her to reduce her medication dosage. Some other people have returned to a fully normal BP after using mms. I think it would be worth a try... for this could lead to a reversal of the condition as opposed to perpeutal maintence with supplements.
