Little udpate guys:
Seems ive had a very slight increase in symptoms the past day or two, but I cant tell if im just imaging it or not..
Ive been feeling great for a long time with almost no symptoms.. This weekend though, I was in a class where I was sitting ALL day long for 2 days, and the first day we went to a thai restaraunt and I ordered a cucumber salad, which was basically slices of cucumber sitting in a cup of sugar syrup with some spices.. lol, worst thing you could eat.. but I ate a bit of it.. then second day we went to an indian restaraunt and I ate some pretty spicy food and a 'samosa' which was fried an surely made with gluten/wheat. I also didnt sleep enough over the weekend.. But I was feeling pretty good.. then today (day or two later) I woke up and noticed my stream was a bit thinner/weaker then normal.. and I actually masturbated this afternoon (TMI?) but noticed a feeling of urgency during.. which I remember feeling in the past..
Seems like things are improving though towards the end of the day so thats good.. my guess is this is/was just a temporary slip up from eating the wrong things, not sleeping enough and sitting all weekend. I also noticed some slight stomach discomfort last night.
I am convinced that prostatitis .. atleast in my case is tied in with digestion/diet.
Alcohol, Spicy Food, Gluten, Caffeine, Sitting all day, Not sleeping enough = SYMPTOMS
Somehow, either food intolerances or leaky gut/messed up digestive system causes the prostate to inflame. Once it becomes inflamed, the muscles around it become tense which further exacerbates symptoms. This is a known phenomenon.. when an organ is inflamed/struggling, the muscles around it stiffen up to protect it from further harm. I believe this is why men, like myself end up seeing pelvic floor therapists, and discover there whole pelvic floors are tense and full of trigger points.. but the real root cause is whatever inflames the prostate initially, which then sets of a protective mechanism in the muscles around it. When these muscles become tense, they themselves cause many symptoms.. But simply treating these muscles is not enough... I think we need to focus on diet/fixing our digestive/immune systems, then the prostate will stop being irritated by foods that never used to cause us problems, and then the surrounding muscles will relax.
This is my current theory anyway
There are many conditions like this.. many of them auto-immune, where people get 'flare ups' after eating certain foods.. like arthritis patients etc.. Why is this happening? Clearly, there is something wrong in the digestive system, and these foods irritate specific parts of the body.
I know for me anyway, ive had digestive issues since right before this started and ever since.. along with some stress/anxiety issues. To me they are all related and all caused by the same thing.. digestive problem.. could be food allergies, could be leaky gut, could be dysbiosis of bacteria from antibiotics etc.
The thing is, a lot of things can mess up our digestive systems.. Antibiotics, stress, over-exercising, food allergies, alcohol, hormones.
So im more convinced now that I need to stick with my diet, and be even more strict about it.. this weekend I knew I shouldnt eat those two things, but though.. well who cares its only once.. but.. from now on I wont take any chances. No gluten, no spicy food, no simple sugars for me.
